How the Process Works

Initial Consultation & Site Visit

We'll start by discussing your project requirements, budget and timeline. For most projects, I'll visit your property to take measurements and photos, and assess any site-specific considerations like slope, orientation, and existing structures.

Concept Design

I draw the existing then brainstorm designs and present ideas for your feedback.

Planning Permit

If your project requires a planning permit, I'll prepare and submit the planning application to council. I liaise with council planners throughout the assessment process and respond to any requests for additional information.

Preliminary Plans

I'll prepare preliminary construction documentation to share with secondary consultants, as required. These may be, but are not limited to, engineers, energy assessors and any other external consultants required.

Detailed Construction Drawings

Detailed drawings and specifications, with engineers and other consultants coordinated.

Heritage Properties

Many homes in Newtown, East Geelong and Geelong West sit under heritage overlays. I prepare drawings that clearly show existing and proposed work, explain how new work respects the heritage character, and meet council’s heritage requirements.
